The Education cluster is a full web-based school management system. Together with other modules of CK-ERP, this cluster aims to provide facilities to automate an educational institute's back-office operation. Specific target users of this cluster are community colleges and senior high schools.

CK-ERP is an open source accounting / MRP / ERP / CRM system that runs on top of multiple middlewares. It provides multi-currency, multi-ledger, multi-warehouse accounting and back office functionalities to SMEs. It provides fine-grained access control security and supports multilingual operation.

It comprises 24 modules - Contact Management, Customer Relationship, Customer Self Service, Vendor Relationship, Material Requirement Planning, Warehouse, Inventory, Service, Accounting Ledger, Bank Reconciliation, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Purchase Order, Sales Order, Quotation, POS for Cashier, POS for Manager, Human Resources, Staff Self Service, Payroll, Administration, Data Import, Access Control and Multilingual Facility.

Operating platform can either be LAMP or LAPP. Backend database engine can be anyone of MySQL, PostgreSQL and SQLite.


Important Note:

Most mainline ERP software suffers from the common pitfall of trying to please every single user or potential user; thus, creating a huge set of parameters and a complicated customization, installation and deployment process. These accumulate into the requirement to employ a ERP consultant costing more than the software itself. Therefore, irrespective of user requests, features that are too complicated or too difficult to maintain will not be designed into nor implemented with CK-ERP. Specifically, minimal documentation will be made available to users of CK-ERP.
